The Normal Bar is a series of entertaining interactive surveys developed to uncover how YOUR normal compares to others.
By participating, the data will be used to cross compare people around the world, by a variety of demographics, revealing the norms on how people navigate their lives in today's society through feature articles with our media partners and The Normal Bar book.
SURVEYS: After you take a short, general interactive survey, you will have the opportunity to dive into other more specific areas, such as money, family, communication, sex, affection, love/romance, family, trust/infidelity, etc.
Curious how your life compares in these areas? You'll soon find out!
MEDIA PARTNERS: When you see a logo in the top right hand corner of the page - the logo represents the media partner that will have exclusive data on that subject matter. Our media partners will be publishing never seen before feature articles. Watch out for these articles... they are going to be incredible!
YOUR NORMAL: If you complete all the modules, you will find out how your normal currently compares to the rest of the world at that moment. Throughout the interactive surveys you will be entertained with original amusing illustrations and you can periodically find out how your answer compares to the rest of the world in real time.
STOP & CONTINUE: At the end of any interactive survey, you can choose to stop and come back right where you left off at your convenience.
SKIP: We will have the best results if you are completely honest and answer all the questions. You can just skip a question if it does not pertain to you.
COMMENT: We want to hear from you! Please use the comment button for any comments you like to make on the bottom of every page.
DISCLAIMER: Any data collected by The Normal Bar survey will only be used for writing the book The Normal Bar and not for any other purposes. All responses will be kept in the strictest confidence and no respondent will be identified in the book. If you decide to take a break and not complete the entire survey in one session, we will ask if you would like to receive an email allowing you to continue at a later time. If you choose to provide an email address at that time, it will only be used for that purpose. We separately ask if you would like to receive further information about The Normal Bar. In this case, too, if you provide an email address it will only be used for this purpose and will not be given or sold to anyone else.
The Normal Bar survey project does not employ the standard sampling methods used in the social sciences. Results are suggestive of social trends but are not intended to provide the degree of statistical precision that is possible with probability based sampling methods.
