On June 4, 2015, James Witte, Director of the Center for Social Science Research, was in Islamabad, Pakistan attending the inaugural meeting of the U.S.-Pakistan Education, Science & Technology Working Group as a member of a delegation led by U.S. State Department Under-Secretary of Public Affairs & Public Diplomacy, Richard Stengel. Witte was invited for his participation in the State Department funded university partnership between George Mason University and the University of Karachi.
