Maria Valdovinos Olson was selected as a recipient of the 2021 CHSS Dean’s Challenge Scholarship Award.
The Dean’s Challenge Scholarship Award was established in 2007 to acknowledge exceptional graduate students who have excelled while making academically-challenging choices. It recognizes not only past academic achievements, but also represents confidence in the potential for continued success. The Dean’s Challenge is funded by generous donations from friends of the college.
Maria joins previous Dean’s Challenge Award recipients from SOAN Lilianna Deveneau (2020), Abdallah Hendawy (2016), and John Robinson (2009).
