Dhiman Das is a faculty associate with the CSSR. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the CUNY Graduate Center, NY and M.Phil. in Economics from the Jawaharlal Nehru University in India. He also have a Masters in Economics from the Rutgers University, NJ and Bachelors in Economics from the University of Calcutta, India.
His research focuses on several areas of public policy in the context of developed and developing countries. In developed countries, he has studied the effect of changes in public programs on institutions and individuals, health behaviors among immigrants and youth, among other topics. In the research on developing countries, he has studied women’s agency and its implications on prenatal care, early childhood education, implications of poverty and work in old ages.
